It has been two weeks since my last supposedly “weekly” update and it is largely due to the launching of the official site, that of which this post is currently occupying. For weeks I have been working on not only bringing you the best content I possibly can, but also developing a proper home for Sharon Shares.
I won’t pull any punches; the experience has been testing at times. Migrating all the content from blogger proved to be a daunting task. Many posts required hours of touching up and I fear that despite my strongest of efforts, problems may still exist. All things considered though I am proud of what we have done. It was just barely over a month ago that this I began this journey to pursue my dreams, and I’m not sure how much more I could have asked for. I understand how illogically fortunate I have been in this entire process and I could not be more thankful or appreciative.
For me launching SharonShares.ca feels much like a rebirth, a second beginning. I am incredibly excited to share with you even more insight into the goings on of the Canadian video game industry. I’ve been granted access to some of the most interesting projects, people, and companies that make Canada the home of some of the best games in the world.
So without any more delay, here’s a sneak peak as to what to expect in the near future.
Onipunks Studio Lead Programmer Loup Zhou – Developers of the highly anticipated android title
C-Wars. While technically an international studio, they make no secret about their roots being set firmly in Canada.
Digital Leisure – Near 20 year veterans in the industry, the studio has a wealth of projects under their belt. However most notably they have been involved in remastering the classic Don Bluth interactive media games for a multitude of platforms.
300 Minutes with Justin Amirkhani – I recently spent 5 hours with the creator of Vagabond Dog, and what occurred… well let’s just say that even I could not of predicted the outcome.
The Creation of Eden – Eden Industries are a British Columbia based developer who are in the midst of a Kickstarter campaign for their newest game titled “Citizens of Earth“. Me and Founder Ryan Vandendyck are currently working on delivering an in-depth look at how the studio has gone from a mere concept to recently attracting some serious Canadian talent.
